Archer Building Consultancy Ltd successfully obtained funding for Notley High School via the 'Academies Capital Maintenance Fund' to renew the boilers, air handling plant (sports hall and kitchen), controls and convector heaters complete, in full compliance with the current 'Building Regulations'. The works also included the incorporation of seven zone valves to enable the school far greater flexibility and control. The works affecting the operation of the internal accommodation and hot water were undertaken during the school's six weeks summer holiday with the remainder of the works, confined to the boiler room, significantly minimising any disruption. The new mechanical plant, including self regulating boilers and the addition of heat recovery (80% efficient) have significantly reduced operating costs.
Archer Building Consultancy Ltd have been working for Notley High School during the last two years and have delivered a number of projects on time and within budget. The school has found their willingness to adapt to current needs and thoroughly research projects at the feasibility stage to be refreshing and we would have no hesitation in recommending their services to other schools.
